Only about 1% of the US population serves in the military, and the lifestyle is challenging and unique. It is easy for service members to feel overwhelmed and isolated as they move around, even with a gaining unit at each duty station. The feelings can be even more isolating for family members who have to establish new community ties with each move. I am excited to volunteer with Ohana Homefront Foundation as an Ambassador. I hope that by increasing awareness of the support available through OHF, the military community will benefit by understanding that they are not alone and there are safe resources to help in crises.
